Give me soft florals, a pretty necklace, and pants I can actually get comfortable in, and I am a happy girl. This outfit has all three—and just enough romance to make an ordinary day feel a little fancy.
Today’s look pairs a loose floral top with wide-leg cargo jeans, both from Torrid. It’s baggy, comfy, and feminine all at once. Exactly my kind of outfit!
And no, this is not sponsored by Torrid. But I am available…call me. 😉

Soft Florals and a Little Lace
The floral print is what gives this top that romantic fall feeling. The dusty pink flowers against the darker background, the flowing sleeves, and those pretty trim details make it feel special without being too dressed up.
I layered a black camisole underneath, with a little lace peeking out at the neckline. It adds coverage while looking like part of the outfit, and I love how the black lace works with the darker details in the shirt.
The fit is loose and easy, with room to move. Some days I want a more fitted look, but this day was all about being comfortable and still feeling pretty.
Wide-Leg Pants? Yes, Please!
Can we talk about how happy I am to be wearing wide-leg pants again?
I got on the skinny-jeans and skinny-pants train back in the day. I wore them. I tried. But if I am being honest, I never really loved them.
This? This I like.
These wide-leg cargo jeans bring a relaxed feel to the outfit. The pockets make them casual, while the floral top adds that softer, romantic touch. I like having both in the same look.
And as a plus-size girl who is barely five feet tall, finding wide-leg pants that work for me is not always easy. I want the roomy leg—not several extra inches of fabric dragging behind me!
That is one of the reasons I keep going back to Torrid for pants. I have found so many options in short or extra-short lengths, and having those choices makes a difference when you are built closer to the ground like I am.
Being short does not mean I want to skip the styles I love. It just means finding the right inseam is part of the shopping adventure.
A Few Accessories Pull It Together
A gold charm necklace adds a little personality and ties in beautifully with the romantic feel of the blouse. I love the mix of little charms—it gives you something interesting to look at without needing a lot of other accessories.
Simple gold earrings keep the focus on the necklace, and black ankle boots are an easy way to finish this look for fall.
There is already plenty to enjoy in the floral print, lace, and necklace. A few finishing touches are all it needs.
Soft Waves Without the Styling Struggle
The wig adds another layer of romance with its soft waves. And one of my favorite parts? I do not have to figure out how to get my own hair to cooperate before I leave the house—or turn on my camera.
The wig I am wearing was sold under another company’s name, and my understanding is that the company carries BelleTress wigs under its own branding. I do not think this particular one is available anymore.
When I looked through BelleTress styles, Miu V, Lilly, and Marseille caught my eye as options with a similar feel. They are not exact matches, but they are styles to explore if you like this look.
For me, a wig can be that final accessory that brings everything together. Pick the hair, add the necklace, and suddenly getting ready feels a whole lot easier.
From Video Calls to Date Night
This is the kind of outfit I can see wearing for a day that includes a little bit of everything.
The floral top, necklace, and soft waves look put together on video calls. The roomy jeans make the outfit easy for errands. And the romantic details work just as well for dinner with my husband.
Comfortable enough for everyday life, pretty enough for a date night with hubby—that is a combination I will happily repeat.
Are you happy to see wide-leg pants back, or are you still a skinny-jeans girl? Tell me in the comments! And if you are another short, curvy girl, I want to hear where you find your favorite pants.
Stay comfy, and stay a little fancy! 💕
